These switches are suitable for AC as well as DC applications. By virtue of CAM design functions like make before type of contacts can be easily achieved. The number of positions and the switching angles are flexible and will offer the user a choice to decide based on the requirement.

DESIGN:

 

VAISHNO HOTLINE switches have different switching stages with double pair of contacts. Each pair consists of two fixed contact plates and a movable contact plate. The rotation is provided by movement of slide. The slide rests on a CAM disc. This CAM disk has grooved according to the sequential operation rotated by switch handle through a hexagonal shaft.

Knob indicates switching positions of the switch. A variety of elegant colour combinations for plate and knob are offered to suit the panel and other instruments.

TYPES  
   

AC SWITCHES
All switches are suitable for application in AC circuits. Most of the switches are rated for 690V AC and 6 & 10 Amps alone are ratedfor 440V AC. AC switches are characterised by the "Quick Make-Slow Break" action by the inbuilt feature in our latching device and cams construction. These switches can be applied for DC switching with derating and additional contacts in series according to the switching voltage.

 
   

ISOLATORS

These are basically ON-OFF switches, which can be used to isolate the power to a particular area of operation. These isolators switches are available in a wide range from single pole to 12 pole design. Isolators with spring return are also available up to 4 poles. Pre-close contacts are used for safety circuits and for neutral and earth line. Isolators generally come under AC1 / AC21 duty. Sometimes 3 Pole ON-OFF switches are used to switch ON and OFF the motor, with fuse protection, when they must be rated for AC3 duty
 
   

CHANGEOVER SWITCHES
Changeover switches otherwise called as Double Throw Switches. They are used to operate two different circuits with different numbers of input and outputs. These switches find their application in EB Changeover, auto/manual changeover, standby / remote changeover etc. Changeover switches without jumper are used for connecting two different circuits, from two different sources (potential free contacts). It may be due to two different operating voltages or any other incompatible lines. All the Double throw switch contacts by default are of Break Before Make Type (BBM) to avoid overlapping of different circuits.

 
   

MULTI STEP SWITCHES
These switches can also be called Pole-Way switches, as they are generally described by poles and ways. Multi step switch does the function of connecting different circuits in a common supply or vice-versa. Application of these switches are innumerable. Tap changing switch for transformer / stabilizer is an example changeover switches are basically two way switches. 1 Pole, 2 Pole and 3 Pole are popular for 10, 20, 30 Amps respect ively.

 
   

GANG SWITCHES
These switches are called Gang Switch, as they increase the capacity of circuits by ganging. They are used for serialing and / or paralleling to drive different circuit capacity. The power of battery supply can be increased by serialing. The power of resistor can be increased by paralleling.

 
   

SELECTOR SWITCHES
With the help of these switches we can measure currents in different circuits (with or without current transformer) with a single ammeter and a switch. Measure voltages between phases, phase and neutral, with one voltmeter and a switch. Measure voltages and currents of a circuits with one voltmeter, one ammeter and a single switch.

 
   

CONTROL SWITCHES
Control switches are unique alternative for many of the "PUSH BUTTON" Stations, where it is preferred to control a system with one switch instead of many push buttons. Many positions of the switch are possible to derive combinations. These control switches are rated for AC15/DC13. AC15
switches are need to carry an in-rush current of 10 times the normal operating current, while energising solenoids and coils. Hence, our switches are suitably derated for Ac15, while specifying the normal operating current. Control switch are used to energise contactors for controlling motor o
perations . Number of switches are of spring return type to enable latching the circuit with contactor NO contact to facilitate tripping by contactor tripping device.

 
   

MOTOR SWITCHES
These switches directly operate the motor with AC3 or AC4 duty. They are mainly used for motor forward-reversing, star-delta, two speed forward reverse. Programmes are designed so as to operate with a contactor to build in the ripping feature on power failure and overload.

 
   

DC SWITCHES
These switches are designed for DC Switching applications. These switches are constructed using snap action mechanism which provides Quick Make Quick Break of the contacts which is essential for DC switching. The contacts are of Double Break Butt Type, housed in a Glass filled polyamide contact stage and are operated through Cams for higher Electrical endurance and smooth operation. Suitable for 900 & 600 switching programmes & app l icat i ons for both AC and DC switching.
